Biography

Clara Cebrián is a multidisciplinary artist based in Madrid, Spain. After studying digital and interactive media in London, she developed an artistic practice encompassing painting, drawing, animation, video, textile design and ceramics.

Her work explores the poetry of everyday life through a colourful, spontaneous visual language inspired by memories, personal experiences and ordinary moments. She draws on everyday details and fleeting scenes, transforming them into images that blend humour, nostalgia and imagination. Beneath their playful appearance, her compositions reflect on how our experiences shape our memories and our understanding of the world.

Her work is characterised by vibrant colours, simplified forms and unconventional perspectives. With their naïve aesthetic and carefree spirit, her compositions move between figuration and abstraction. Spontaneous gestures and a free approach to form leave room for experimentation and imperfection. This freedom gives her work its distinctive character, allowing intimate, personal narratives to emerge through her images and inviting viewers to look at everyday life from a different perspective.
