Ana Baigorri Spanish, 1968
Ana Baigorri studied at Istituto Marangoni and Saint Martins School of Art. After developing her professional career in the fashion industry, she decided to channel her creativity into art, specializing in paper sculpture and the transformation of antique books through intricate folding techniques.
Her work explores the sculptural possibilities of paper, combining geometry, volume, and movement. Through the meticulous hand-folding of books, she creates contemporary compositions in which memory, material, and space engage in a dialogue.
Her pieces incorporate materials such as iron, acrylic, mirrors, and natural fabrics, creating a contrast between the delicacy of paper and the strength of other materials.
Her work is held in private collections in Spain and internationally.
