Born in 1983, Lotte Maja Bjerre has been working as an artist for over 12 years. She began by drawing on paper, depicting hairlike structures wrapped around objects. Since childhood, she has been obsessed with shiny objects, inspiring her to create drawings that captured softness and intricate, glossy structures. To bring her drawings to life, she began wrapping string around real objects. 

Her pieces are crafted from painted cardboard, delicately wrapped in thin, translucent nylon thread that reveals the cardboard’s underlying colour. Mounted on wood, these artworks interact with light, subtly shifting in intensity and colour throughout the day, creating a dynamic and immersive visual experience.
